HARRISBURG, Pa. (June 14, 2022)– The ӰPro Charitable Foundation awarded a record 50 scholarships to graduating seniors from around the country in 2022.
Each of the 50 students will receive $1,000 to offset the cost of their postsecondary education. Winners were selected based on a variety of criteria, including an essay outlining how they can make an impact in their community. A committee from the ӰPro Foundation then chose the recipients, who were notified last month.
“It was such a hard decision this year because we had a large number of worthy applicants,” ӰPro Foundation Specialist Gwen Mallon said. “It’s heartening to know that there are so many young people in the country who are not only fantastic students, but also compassionate advocates for their schools and communities.”
Since its creation in 2018, the ӰPro Foundation’s scholarship program has awarded more than $100,000 to deserving recipients. The students have used the money to expand their education at variety of institutions across the country.
